Christianity: A Threat to China's Communist Rule?

More Chinese people are turning to Christianity. This is not good news for the Atheist Chinese government.

Makes sense....

This makes sense to me - if I recall correctly, something similar happened when the USSR fell, with lots of people returning to the Russian Orthodox Church and Judaism. While I have no studies to point at, I believe people revolt against what is forced on them and crave what is denied them. One of the reasons I find organized Christianity so distasteful in the United States is because the most vocal of the Christian groups are usually trying to jam their brand of Christianity down everyone's throats - and I know I'm not alone in that sentiment. In China, they're doing the same with a political philosophy. I'm sort of surprised it has taken this long for people to start being more aggressive about turning away from it and seeking out a "taboo" religion. I'm curious as to which faiths the Chinese will be seeking out over the next few decades. There's more than a few vocal Christian groups there, but also a surprising number of Jews. Some strong Islamic nations have ties to the country, and there are Buddhists all over that area of the world...this could get interesting.
