Dispute over pastor's politics escalates: He wants prayers cursing his foes

Rev. Wiley Drake of the First Southern Baptist Church of Buena Park, Calif., is asking his supporters to use "imprecatory prayer" to curse Americans United and its leaders.The argument centers on whether Drake violated federal tax law by "electioneering" when he recently endorsed the presidential candidacy of Republican Mike Huckabee. Americans United on Tuesday asked the Internal Revenue Service to investigate.

Wiley Drake is the epitome of hypocrisy. He is a racist bigot and the sooner he is ignored, the better. Can anyone say "Deliverance"?

IF Drake really wanted to do something worthwhile, he should begin by helping all of the homeless who live there in his church shelter. Instead, he spends all of his life spouting nonsense, trying to become famous. He has delusions of grandeur. The symptoms of a severely ill person, he has no conscience and has no idea how ridiculous he sounds. When will he just shut up?
