Judge to decide whether Christians-only insurance plan can continue

Franklin County Circuit Judge Thomas Wingate could rule within the next two weeks on whether Medi-Share can continue to operate in Kentucky. The state Department of Insurance has asked Wingate to ban the program because it is not subject to the same laws and regulations that govern conventional health insurance companies.
Sounds a lot like Thrivent, which should be subject to all insurance laws except maybe anti-discrimination laws. And Thrivent operates in all 50 states.
