• Methodists join Catholic-Lutheran statement on justification

In 1999, the Roman Catholic Church and ELCA drafted a "Joint Statement on the Doctrine of Justification," wording it in a way that both, while each defined their terms differently, could agree on the wording. The World Methodist Council has now added support for the statement.
